BadgePass extends service reach with latest acquisition

Andrew Hudson   ||   Jan 05, 2017  ||

Campus card solutions provider, BadgePass, has acquired the business and assets of the Atlanta-based Card South Solutions, Inc. in a move that will further extend BadgePass' services reach.

Card South Solutions is a regional ID reseller located on the north side of Atlanta, carrying a range of ID solutions including printers, cardstock and an array of software solutions. The entire staff of Card South Solutions will be joining the BadgePass team and the office will remain in its current location. All other details of the transaction remain confidential.

For the Ridgeland, Missouri based BadgePass, the addition of Card South Solutions marks the fourth acquisition in the last 18 months and now brings the company to a total of four state capitals and the third largest concentration of fortune 500 companies in the United States.

“This acquisition is another big step in our long term plan to sell and promote our credential management solutions across North America," says Philip King, BadgePass President & CEO. "In most cases, we sell indirectly through our local dealer channel, but in Atlanta, we were presented this opportunity to build our direct sales business and it made sense to the team.”

BadgePass' most recent acquisition prior to Card South was that of Boomerang Payment Solutions whose primary product offering, Veita, enables institutions to make excess financial aid disbursements on a debit MasterCard which can also serve as the student’s campus ID card.

The BadgePass product line includes the company's flagship offering TotalCard -- a campus one card solution -- as well as photo ID, access control, visitor management and time management services.
